Chairman | Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Dr. JOHARI b. Mat×

Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Dr. JOHARI b. Mat had a distinguished 33 years career with the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service.

He had held important positions as the Secretary General of three Ministries, namely Education, Domestic Trade and National Unity and Social Development during the period from 1991 to 2001.

He was also Director of INTAN (National Institute of Public Administration) and Klang Valley Planning Secretariat in the Malaysia Prime Minister's Department during 1981 to 1991.

At the international level; Dr. Johari had served as delegate, adviser and consultant to UNESCO, UNCRD, APDC, SEAMEO, ASCOE, and COL (Commonwealth of Learning) Vancouver, Canada. He is also a chartered member of the Malaysian Institute of Planners.

Currently Dr. Johari is involved in several public and private companies that have interests in education, plantation agriculture and consultancy services.

Among others, he is Chairman of United Plantations Berhad, Founding President and Chairman of the Governing Board of the Cyberjaya University College of Medical Services and Chairman of Malaysia Cooperative Setia Berhad.

At another level, Dr. Johari is Pro-Chancellor of Malaysia Technical University Melaka (UTEM) and Chairman of the Malaysian Danish Business Council.

He is the Executive Director of Globalports Pte Ltd (GPS) that is involved with the development of airports, seaports and destination / real estate developments.

Airport Director | KHONG Teck-Kim×

Mr Khong is a veteran of the Aviation industry for over 40 years.

Khong joined the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) in 1972. He served in various senior positions in CAAS, including the Commercial Director, Operations Director, Airline Business Development/Air Transport Director, Corporate Services Director/Department Head (HR, PR, Legal & Insurance and Company Secretary).

In addition, he held various other positions in parallel – Principal Consultant with Singapore Changi Airport Enterprise, Member of the Executive Committee which managed Singapore Aviation Academy and Air Rights Negotiator on behalf of the Singapore Government. He has also served the Airport Council International (World's association of airports) as the Chairman of the Pacific region Economics Committee

Khong has extensive experience in local and overseas Consultancy services for Airport City Masterplanning, Market Development, Organizational Transformation, Aviation Academy, Air Rights Negotiation, Implementation and Financing Strategies for projects in India, Middle-east, South East Asia, Australia and Oceania.

Khong holds a Master degree in Industrial Engineering, a Bachelor degree in Mathematics (Honors) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from National University of Singapore.

He has attended numerous management training programs, including an executive management program in INSEAD, Fontainbleau France, air transport program in Oxford College, UK and flight operations dispatcher program in Beirut, Lebanon.

Seaport Director | Jay PANG Seng-Joon×

Mr Jay Pang is a veteran of the Maritime industry for over 40 years.

He joined the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) in 1980 after 8 years maritime career with the British Merchant Navy. He served in various positions under the Port Master's Department in PSA, including the Pilotage, Tug & Ferry Services, and has worked on projects for the Masterplanning of sea-passenger landing facilities in the Port of Singapore.

He joined the project implementation team for the strategic planning, development, construction and operations of the Singapore Cruise Centre (SCC) in 1989, and has served in senior management positions with Singapore Cruise Centre Pte Ltd (SCCPL) for over 25 years. (SCCPL is a fully-owned company of Temasek Holdings Pte Ltd after its divestment from PSA Corporation Ltd in 2003).

Jay has extensive experience in local and overseas Consultancy Services for sea-passenger facilities and related waterfront rejuvenation and masterplanning, including Operational Processes Analysis, e-Solutions for sea-passenger terminals management; staff training and formulation of Standard Operation Procedures, Emergency Response Plans, Business Continuity Plans, as well as the management of compliance for ISO Certification and International Ship & Port Security (ISPS) Codes.

He has a BSc (Hons) Degree in Maritime Studies from the University of Wales, Institute of Science & Technology (UWIST/UK), a Chief-Officer Certificate for foreign-going merchant ship from MOT/UK and a professional Harbour Pilot License from the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA).
